Kalapara, July 01 (V7N)- The southwest monsoon is currently active over the northern Bay of Bengal and adjacent coastal areas, creating intense convective cloud formations and a significant variation in air pressure.

As a result, moderate to heavy rainfall continues in Kalapara, Patuakhali. The air pressure has increased significantly compared to before, and river water levels are rising. The Bay of Bengal near Kuakata has become quite turbulent.

The Meteorological Office has issued a warning for stormy winds in the coastal areas, prompting all sea ports, including Payra Port, to hoist local warning signal No. 3. All fishing trawlers have been advised to stay close to the coast and navigate cautiously.
