Dhaka, Mar 02 (V7N) – The Appellate Division has set Monday for hearing the appeal against the High Court's verdict that canceled the appointment letters of 6,531 candidates who passed the assistant teacher exams for government primary schools in the Dhaka and Chittagong divisions.
The three-member bench, headed by Senior Justice Ashfaqul Islam, issued the order on Sunday.
On February 6, the High Court ruled to annul the government's decision to issue appointment letters to the 6,531 candidates who passed the exam for the post of assistant teacher. Following the ruling, the Directorate of Primary Education filed an application seeking a stay on the verdict.
The final results for the third phase of the assistant teacher examination for Dhaka and Chittagong divisions were published on October 31, with the 6,531 candidates passing. The results were made available on the Directorate of Primary Education's website.
