Dhaka, Apr 30 (V7N) — The High Court has granted bail to former ISKCON leader Chinmoy Krishna Das in connection with a case filed against him. Following a final hearing on Wednesday, a High Court bench comprising Justices Atowar Rahman Khan and Ali Reza passed the verdict, declaring the rule on his bail application absolute.
Earlier, on February 4, the High Court had issued a rule after initially hearing Chinmoy Das’s bail plea, asking why he should not be granted bail in the case. Subsequently, the court fixed April 30 for the final hearing on the matter.
After hearing arguments from both sides, the court announced its decision to grant bail, bringing a significant development in the legal proceedings surrounding the former ISKCON leader.
