Dhaka, Sep 18 (V7N) – Nahid Islam, one of the key organizers of the July Uprising, continued his testimony on Thursday (September 18) against Sheikh Hasina and three others in a case filed for crimes against humanity.
The deposition is being heard by a three-member tribunal bench headed by Justice Golam Mortuza Majumder.
Earlier in the morning, the final witness in the case appeared before the tribunal. On Wednesday, Nahid, a leader of the NCP, testified for about an hour and a half, describing alleged repression of ordinary students by the Awami League and its student wing Chhatra League during the July Movement.
Meanwhile, in a separate proceeding, the tribunal is scheduled to issue an order today on framing charges against former DMP Commissioner Habibur Rahman and five others in connection with the Rampura incident, where Amir Hossain was shot dead while hanging from a cornice, and two others were killed.
