Dhaka, Dec 08 (V7N) – The High Court has dismissed a writ petition seeking the suspension of all activities related to the upcoming 13th National Parliament election.

A bench led by Justice Sikder Mahmudur Razi gave the ruling on Monday (December 8).

The petition, filed on December 3 by Bangladesh Congress Secretary General Advocate Yarul Islam, had challenged the appointment of the Election Commission’s secretary, returning officer, and assistant returning officer from the executive division, seeking the formation of an Electoral Service Commission. It also requested a suspension of all election-related activities until the matter was resolved.
