Natore, Sep 10 (V7N) - A court in Natore has acquitted Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu, a member of the BNP Executive Committee, along with 69 other leaders and activists of the party in three separate cases. The verdicts were announced on Tuesday at around 12 PM by Additional District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Mainuddin in two cases, while Joint District and Sessions Judge Shamsul Al Amin delivered the ruling in the third case.
 
Defense lawyer Ruhul Amin Talukder Togor explained that the first case, filed on April 27, 2004, accused Dulu and 24 others of involvement in an attack, looting, and arson at houses in Ramshakazipur village, located in Naldanga, Natore. The second case, filed on April 8, 2007, charged Dulu and 21 others with extortion. The third case, lodged on July 7, 2008, accused Dulu and 21 others of attacking and looting a grocery store.
 
In all three cases, the plaintiffs failed to identify the accused, and the prosecution was unable to provide sufficient evidence, resulting in the acquittal of Dulu and the 69 co-accused.
 
After the acquittal, Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu remarked, "Justice and the rule of law have been upheld in the country."
