Two fugitive murder suspects were apprehended in a RAB operation conducted in Pabna.
 
June 3 (V7N Pabna)- The individuals were arrested around 1:30 am on sunday (June 3) in Aminpur, Pabna.
 
The arrested suspects are Akash Hossain (25), son of the deceased Delwar Hossain from Syedpur village in Manda upazila of Naogaon, and Sagar Hossain (20), son of Khaizerom Rul Islam from the same village.
 
Confirming the information, Major Ehteshamul Haque Khan, Company Commander of RAB-12, CPC-2, Pabna, stated to Voice Seven News on Monday afternoon that the arrests were made in connection to the murder of Ramzan Ali (70) from Syedpur village in Manda upazila of Naogaon. Ramzan Ali was assaulted with a hammer and iron rod on May 5 during a dispute over irrigation water dues and succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
 
Following the incident, Mofazzal Hossain, the deceased's son, lodged a case at Manda Police Station. The suspects had been on the run since the case was filed.
 
On Sunday night, acting on confidential information, RAB-12 Pabna and RAB-5 Natore, with assistance from RAB Forces Headquarters, Int Wing, Dhaka, conducted a joint raid in the Sonatala area of Aminpur police station and apprehended the suspects.
 
Major Ehteshamul Haque Khan further informed Voice Seven News that the two arrested individuals were handed over to Manda Police Station in Naogaon district on Monday afternoon for further legal proceedings.
