Netrokona, Sep 13 (V7N) - On Friday morning, September 13, at around 8:30 AM, an attack took place on the home and shop of Almas Khan (36), son of the late Abdul Qadir, in Mautal village, Pogla Union, Kolmakanda Upazila. The victim's family lodged a formal complaint with the Kolmakanda Army Camp and police station later that day, around noon.
 
According to the complaint, the attack stemmed from a longstanding dispute. A group of individuals from the nearby Pachpara village—identified as Jamal Member, Azizul Haque, Abdur Rashid, Sohel, Bajlu, Shahid, Kamrul, Habikul, Tuton, Dulal, Mubarak, Azizul, Riton, Ain Uddin, Annas, Alam, Khairul, and Farhad—armed with local weapons, carried out the attack, vandalizing Almas Khan’s home and shop. They also allegedly looted items from the shop during the assault.
 
Family members told Voice7 News  that Almas Khan’s wife, Lima Akter (33), sustained serious head injuries from a machete strike during the attack. She is currently being treated at the Kolmakanda Upazila Health Complex. The family estimates their losses to be around 600,000 BDT and expressed concerns for their safety, fearing further attacks. They are calling for a full investigation and justice for the damages they have suffered.
 
Sergeant Shah Alam from the Kolmakanda Army Camp informed Voice7 News at 4:30 PM on Friday that a team had been dispatched to the scene after receiving the written complaint. He assured that appropriate measures would be taken following a detailed investigation.
