Ukhia, Sept 24 V7N - Farooq E Azam Bir Prateek, Adviser to the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, visited the Kutupalong Rohingya camp in Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar. During his visit, he interacted with the Rohingya community, toured a hospital, and inspected the e-voucher center. The visit took place on Tuesday, September 24, around 10:30 a.m., at Camp No. 4 in Kutupalong.
As part of the visit, he observed the e-voucher outlet operated by the World Food Program (WFP), where Rohingyas receive rations and other services. He also visited the Hope Hospital for Women, located in the main block of the camp, to understand the medical services provided to Rohingyas and the challenges faced by doctors working there.
Later, at around 12:30 p.m., a discussion meeting was held at the West CIC office of Ukhiya Balukhali Rohingya Camp-8, where Rohingya leaders, clerics, and women voiced their appreciation to the Bangladesh government for its support and requested assistance for the speedy repatriation of Rohingyas to Myanmar.
The adviser expressed sympathy for the difficult conditions in which the Rohingyas live and assured them of efforts toward their resettlement. He urged the community to maintain peace and order within the camp.
He also engaged with representatives of various NGOs involved in providing humanitarian aid to the Rohingyas. The visit concluded around 2:30 p.m.

Kamrul Hasan, Secretary of the Ministry of Relief and Disaster Management, Additional Secretary Hasan Sarwar, Cox's Bazar District Commissioner Mohammad Salauddin, Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, 8 APBN Captain Mohammad Amir Zafar, 14 APBN Captain Mohammad Iqbal, and Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Saleh Ahmad.
