Barguna, Oct 01, V7N- A 10-foot-long python was recovered by the forest department from the side of a kitchen in Patharghata, Barguna, and later released into a nearby forest. The incident occurred on Tuesday, October 1, around 11 a.m., when the snake was discovered wrapped in a net near the kitchen of Farooq Mia's house, located next to Ward No. 9's food warehouse in Patharghata Municipality.
Locals reported that Rahima Begum, Farooq Mia's wife, noticed a disturbance by the kitchen as she was leaving the house toward the pond. Upon investigating, she found a large python tangled in the net and immediately alerted the neighbors. The locals informed the forest department, whose personnel arrived to safely rescue the snake.
Zahir Hossain, a rescue worker from the Patharghata Forest Department, confirmed that the rescued snake was a python, which was released back into the nearby forest later in the day.
