The clash occurred between Hakim Para No. 14 and Jamtoli Camp No. 15 in Palongkhali Union.
According to local authorities, the exchange of fire resulted from a power struggle between two factions, reportedly involving Myanmar-based militant groups, Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) and the Rohingya Solidarity Organization (RSO). Both sides fired approximately 20-25 rounds during the confrontation. Abdur Rahman was fatally shot, and five other Rohingyas, including Nur Mohammad, Mohammad Zobair, Shafayet, Noor Alam, and Nesara, were injured.
