Habiganj, Oct 11, V7N- A tragic road accident occurred on Friday in Habiganj's Madhavpur Upazila on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway, claiming the life of a bus driver and leaving 10 passengers seriously injured. The collision took place around 11:00 AM at the Jagadishpur Muktijoddha area when a passenger bus collided head-on with a truck.

The bus driver, Suman Mia, aged 30, died at the scene. He was from Nadia village in Narsingdi's Shibpur Upazila. The injured passengers were rushed to various hospitals, including the Madhavpur Upazila Health Complex, for treatment.

According to Shahnoor, the officer-in-charge of Madhavpur police station, the passenger bus, operated by Mitali, was en route to Dhaka from Sylhet when the accident occurred. The front part of the bus was heavily damaged, and both the bus and the truck involved in the crash have been seized by the police for further investigation.
