Khagrachari, Dec 17, (V7N) - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Ramgarh Battalion (43 BGB) has arrested 12 Bangladeshi nationals for illegally crossing the border into India.
On Tuesday, December 17, the arrests were made at the India-Bangladesh border under the jurisdiction of the Naluatila BOP of the Ramgarh Battalion (43 BGB).
The arrested individuals are: Gopi Nath (57), his wife Rupali Rani Nath (43), their son Krishna Nath (21), Sanjoy Nath (40), his son Shri Dibbakrisna Nath (12), Mukta De (43), Ishita Dutta (25), Pusupita Dutta (20), Pradeep Kanti Nath (45), Arnob Kumar De (37), Rajashree Devi (43), and Anir Urdhva De (4). All of them are residents of Fatikchhari and Maheshkhali in Chattogram.
It is reported that based on secret information, a patrol team led by Subedar Major Mohammad Faridul Islam from Naluatila BOP of the Ramgarh Battalion (43 BGB) conducted a raid in the middle of the night. They arrested the 12 individuals, who were attempting to illegally cross the border. The arrested individuals are being transferred to the Bhujpur Police Station for further legal action.
Lieutenant Colonel Syed Imam Hossain, the Commander of the Ramgarh Battalion, stated that BGB personnel will remain vigilant as border guards, always ready to prevent any form of illegal activity and infiltration in the border areas under their responsibility.
