Rajshahi, Mar 4 (V7N) – The body of an auto-rickshaw driver has been recovered from the banks of the Barnai River in Paba Upazila, Rajshahi. Local villagers reported seeing the body on Monday morning, and the police were notified. Upon arrival, the police recovered the body and sent it to the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

The deceased, identified as Altaf Hossain (45), was the son of Monsur Ali from Baghsara village.

According to the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Media) of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police, Altaf had left his home after Iftar on Sunday evening and did not return. The villagers found his body by the riverbank the next morning and alerted the police. Authorities suspect that a previous conflict might have led to his murder, although the exact cause of death is still unclear. No signs of physical injury were found on his body during the initial investigation.
