Rajshahi, Mar 08 (V7N) - Police have recovered the throat-slit body of a BNP leader's brother from a railway track in Rajshahi. The deceased, Mobasher Hossain (30), was found in the Hujrapukur area on the outskirts of Rajshahi city at around 8 pm on Friday.
Mobasher was a resident of Ghoramara Boaliapara Mohalla in Rajshahi. His father is Mosharraf Hossain, and he was the half-brother of former Rajshahi district BNP president Tofazzal Hossain Topu. His body was discovered with the head almost severed from the neck, leading police to suspect suicide.
According to Rajshahi Railway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Faisal Bin Ahsan, "The body was found on the railway line, and the head was nearly detached. It appears that he deliberately placed his head on the track to end his life. We have recovered the body and sent it to the morgue for an autopsy."
The police have registered a case of unnatural death at the station. Further investigations are ongoing to determine the exact circumstances leading to Mobasher's tragic demise.
