The recovery of seven gold bars weighing 816 grams, valued at Tk 70 lakh, from a bin at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram is a significant development. It's commendable that National Security Intelligence (NSI) and Customs Intelligence acted swiftly on a tip-off to recover the abandoned gold bars.

In order to combat criminal activities like smuggling, cooperation between NSI and Customs agents is effective, as evidenced by their joint operation. Authorities at the airport are alert to spotting and stopping illegal products, as seen by the confiscation of the packs of cigarettes and gold bars. The police must be on the lookout for anybody engaging in smuggling operations, even though no one was detained in relation to this event.
