June 19,(V7N)- Qatar Charity (QC) implemented the 'Qurbani Program' in Bangladesh, impacting over 20,000 underprivileged individuals, including orphans and widows.

QC distributed sacrificial meat from 18 locations, including orphan care centers, across the country, to promote the values of solidarity and compassion, said a press release issued by its Dhaka office today.

Dr. Mohammad Amin Hafiz Omar, Country Director of the Bangladesh office, personally oversaw the distribution efforts from the Bhairab orphan care center in Kishoreganj.

The representatives of the Qatar Charity Bangladesh office were present at every site to ensure the efficient delivery of sacrificial meat to the beneficiaries.

The Qurbani program received substantial support from government officials, who not only participated in several locations to inaugurate the program but also expressed their appreciation for the initiative undertaken by Qatar Charity to assist impoverished communities.

Expressing their joy and gratitude, the beneficiaries conveyed heartfelt thanks to Qatar Charity and its donors for providing them with sacrificial meat.

A widow, Salma Akhter, enthusiastically stated, "We are delighted to have received sacrificial meat on Eid day from Qatar Charity because we are unable to afford to purchase meat or sacrifice cattle."

``It would have been distressing if we hadn't received sacrificial meat on Eid Al-Adha. Thanks to Qatar Charity, it has brought joy for us’’, shared Sultan Ahmed, a needy farmer.
