Cox's Bazar, July 12 (V7N)- Within a few years of construction, the Rajaarkul-Monirjheel connecting bridge is facing erosion. The bridge has fallen victim to erosion as heavy rains and increased water flow from mountain streams caused the adjacent soil to erode since yesterday.

This has created obstacles for thousands of residents of the Rajaarkul and Monirjheel villages. Without prompt repair efforts, significant damage is likely.

Local residents claim that the public is suffering due to the contractor’s shoddy work. They demand urgent repairs to save the bridge from further erosion.

Ramu Upazila Executive Officer Md. Rashedul Islam stated that they are aware of the erosion issue and will arrange for emergency repairs.
