Afroza Abbas, the president of Jatiyatavadi Mahila Dal, urged the public to embrace forgiveness and love rather than revenge. She made this appeal on Saturday, August 17, during her visit to Pabna, where she met with students injured in the anti-discrimination student movement.

During her visit, Afroza Abbas praised the students for their courageous stand against what she described as a dictatorial government, referring to them as national heroes. She acknowledged the students' sacrifices, stating that their actions have granted freedom of speech and media, allowing people to breathe freely. On behalf of the BNP, she congratulated the youth for their role in advancing these freedoms.

In her remarks, Afroza Abbas also cautioned BNP leaders, emphasizing that the Awami League has become divided due to its oppression of common people and those with differing opinions. She reiterated that the BNP does not believe in revenge and called for the creation of a society rooted in love and brotherhood, urging leaders to foster peace in their communities.

During her visit, Afroza Abbas met with district leaders and activists from both the Mahila Dal and BNP, including Sultana Parveen, Akhtar Pia, Mahazebin, and Nabila. She inquired about their well-being and provided financial assistance to those in need.

District BNP convener Habibur Rahman Habib, member secretary Advocate Masud Khandkar, District Women’s Party President Purnima Islam, and District Jasas President Khaled Hossain Parag were also present during the visit.
