Khagrachari, Aug 27 (V7N) - In response to the needs of flood-affected communities, the Bangladesh Army’s Khagrachari Sadar Zone has organized a medical camp and food distribution effort. On August 26, medical services and free medications were offered at the Bottali Government Primary School. Additionally, dry food supplies were given to the individuals who sought medical help.
The operation was overseen by Lieutenant Colonel Abul Hasnat Jewel PSC, the Commander of the Khagrachari Sadar Zone (30 BIR). The event also saw the participation of Major Mohammad Siddiqul Islam PSC, the Deputy Commander of the Sadar Zone (30 BIR), and Captain Ijaz Ahmed Sajin, the Adjutant.
Under the direction of Lieutenant Colonel Rakib, Commanding Officer of the Five Field Ambulance Team, medical care was extended to hundreds of men, women, and children from both hill and Bengali communities. The medical services covered gynecology, general medicine, surgery, and other specialties, with free medicines provided to those suffering from waterborne diseases and other conditions.
The medical team included Major Asif, a specialist in medicine; Major Mamun, a surgery specialist; and Captain Atiya, a gynecology expert, all from the Five Field Ambulance team.
