Kustia Nov 20 (V7N) – Students of Islamic University (IU) staged a demonstration on Wednesday morning, demanding the digitalization of the Controller of Examinations office. The protest, held in front of the university’s administration building, focused on streamlining services such as obtaining certificates and other essential documents.

The demonstrators urged the university authorities to prioritize their demands, emphasizing the need for efficient digitalization to eliminate unnecessary delays and bureaucratic hurdles.

“We face constant difficulties in acquiring important documents, even when following proper procedures,” said one of the protesting students. “The lack of a streamlined process forces us to move between multiple officials for even minor tasks, wasting our time and causing frustration.”

University Proctor, Professor Dr. Shahinuzzaman, acknowledged the students' concerns. “We recognize the need for improvements in this area. The Vice-Chancellor is currently abroad, but we plan to address this issue in a meeting next week,” he said.

The students are hopeful that their demands will prompt necessary reforms, enhancing the administrative experience and reducing inefficiencies in the system.
