Pabna, Feb 20, (V7N) – Advocate Indrajit Saha, Trustee of the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust for Pabna, Sirajganj, and Bogura, stated that the BNP government, under the leadership of Begum Khaleda Zia, had launched a temple-based children and mass education project.
He made this remark during a prize distribution ceremony for the best teachers and students in children's and mass education programs at the Shri Shri Radha Govinda Temple in Shalgariya, Pabna on Wednesday, February 19.
Advocate Indrajit Saha further added, "During the BNP government's tenure, former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia made provisions for grants for Hindus. The government took the initiative for temple-based and mass education activities. When BNP was in power, Ramadan and Puja were observed together without causing any unrest."
The ceremony was attended by Pabna District BNP member and additional public prosecutor, Advocate Malloy Kumar Das Roy, Pabna Press Club Secretary Zahurul Islam, Joint Convener of District Volunteer Party Deepankar Sorkar Jitu, Acting General Secretary of Pabna Newspaper Owners Group S. M. Adnan Uddin, former cultural secretary of District Volunteer Party and former president of Hindu Chhatra Mahajot Shubho Majumder, among others.
Following the ceremony, awards were distributed to five teachers and five students, with other participants receiving certificates. The event was chaired by Assistant Project Director of the Temple-based Children and Mass Education Program in Pabna, Nirupom Dhar.
