The relevance of vocational education in addition to traditional institutional learning was emphasized by Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury in an effort to meet the market's growing demand for trained workers. Speaking at Daffodil International University's 11th convocation, Chowdhury emphasized the necessity for students to gain real-world experience in order to satisfy employers. The speaker placed emphasis on the importance of soft skills and language competency in order to improve employability and deter foreign talent from taking local job openings.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina echoed similar sentiments, urging young graduates to equip themselves with the necessary skills to seize opportunities in the workforce. Stressing the importance of continuous learning, Chowdhury emphasized the need for a lifelong learning mindset among graduates.

The convocation, attended by dignitaries including Dr. Franco Gandolfi from Georgetown University, USA, witnessed the conferring of undergraduate and graduate degrees upon 6,284 students. Additionally, 12 meritorious students were awarded gold medals for their exceptional academic achievements.
