JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, May 21, (V7N) - The Social Sciences faculty of Jahangirnagar University (JU) today held a seminar to present summaries of its annual research projects.

The seminar's inauguration ceremony began around 10:30 am at the teachers' lounge of the Social Sciences faculty.

Addressing the event as chief guest, JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan stated, "JU administration will take effective measures to increase research grants for faculty members. We will subscribe to necessary institutional resources to facilitate research activities."

He expressed hope that the university administration would sign more Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with other universities to enhance collaboration in research and academic activities.

"I always encourage faculty members to publish your research in peer-reviewed journals," he added.

Professor Dr. Md. Shamsul Alam, Acting Dean of the Social Sciences faculty, presided over the event. Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr. Sohel Ahmed and Treasurer Professor Dr. M Abdur Rab were present as special guests.
