ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, Kushtia, May 24 (V7N) – Thirty-five outstanding students from eight faculties at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia were honored today with the prestigious Dean's Award for their exceptional academic achievements.

The award ceremony, held in a celebratory atmosphere at the Birshreshtha Hamidur Rahman Auditorium, saw each recipient receive a medal, certificate, and a financial honorarium.

IU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah graced the event as the chief guest, while Pro-VC Professor Dr. M Yaqub Ali and Treasurer Professor Dr. Jahangir Alam attended as special guests. The ceremony was presided over by Professor Dr. ABM Siddiqur Rahman Asrafi, Dean of the Theology and Islamic Studies faculty.

Among those present were IU Proctor Professor Dr. Shahinuzzaman, student advisor Professor Dr. Obayedul Islam, deans of various faculties, departmental chairpersons, hall provosts, teachers, students, and administrative officials. Proud family members of the awardees were also in attendance, sharing in their loved ones' success.

Expressing her elation, awardee Surma Parveen Eshita said, "Today's recognition has made all the effort worthwhile. Receiving this honor in front of my parents is a moment of great pride. I am deeply grateful to my teachers for their support and guidance. I hope to represent Islamic University on the global stage in the future."

Congratulating the awardees, Vice-Chancellor Nasrullah remarked, "This award adds a significant star to your CV. You have achieved this through merit and that same excellence will reflect in your future career. Strive for further brilliance and make the university proud at both national and international levels." He also urged faculty members to ensure the delivery of quality education while maintaining fairness and thoughtfulness in assessing student performance.
