Rajshahi, Dec 04 (V7N) - The final of North Bengal International University’s interdepartmental cricket tournament took place on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, with the Political Science Department claiming victory over the EEE Department. Batting first, EEE scored 43 runs in their allotted 10 overs. In response, the Political Science team successfully chased the target, losing only two wickets.

Shahidul Islam of the Political Science Department was named Man of the Match, while Arafat from the EEE Department earned the title of Man of the Tournament. Additional individual awards included Ador from the Law Department for scoring the most runs, and Minhajul Islam Shanto from the Political Science Department for taking the most wickets.

The prize distribution ceremony was conducted by Professor Md. Ansar Uddin, Acting Vice-Chancellor of the university, Executive Director Riaz Mohammad, and Professor Dr. Md. Maksudur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences. Other dignitaries present included Registrar Dr. Azibar Rahman, Controller of Examinations Md. Idris Ali, Additional Director of IQAC Md. Sajedul Islam, Assistant Proctor Sabbir Ahmed, members of the Proctorial Team, faculty, students, and administrative staff from various departments.

The tournament showcased vibrant participation and competitive spirit among students across departments, reinforcing teamwork, sportsmanship, and interdepartmental camaraderie within the university community.
