Barisal University (BU) has decided to conduct online classes from April 22 to April 30 due to the severe heatwave affecting the nation. This decision, made during an emergency meeting of the university syndicate chaired by BU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Badruzzaman Bhuiyan, aims to mitigate health hazards such as heatstroke.

While classes will be conducted online during this period, all scheduled exams will proceed on campus as planned. Faisal Mahmud, deputy director of BU's Public Relations Office, emphasized that the university administration prioritized student health in making this decision.

Students are advised to take necessary precautions, including staying indoors either in their halls or at home, to safeguard their health during this heatwave.
