In a much-anticipated announcement, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina officially declared the results of the 2024 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations at 11 am on Sunday.

Prior to the announcement, Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel presented a summary of the results to the Prime Minister at Ganabhaban at 10 am. The declaration ceremony was attended by State Minister for Education Begum Shamsun Nahar and State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Begum Rumana Ali, among other dignitaries.

The overall pass rate across the 9 general, madrasa, and technical boards stands at an impressive 83.04 percent this year. The pass rate is 89.32 percent in Dhaka Board, 92.32 percent in Jessore Board, 89.13 percent in Barisal, 82.08 in Chittagong, 79.02 in Comilla, 78.04 in Dinajpur, 89.25 in Rajshahi, 73.35 in Sylhet and 84.97 in Mymensingh. 

Following the announcement, the Ministry of Education has scheduled a press briefing on the SSC and equivalent examination results at 12:30 pm.

For educational institutions seeking institution-wise result sheets, the process involves visiting the respective board's website, accessing the result corner, and entering the EIIN of the educational institution to download the result sheet.

The SSC and equivalent examinations commenced on February 15, with a total of 20,24,192 candidates participating under 11 education boards. This included 16,06,879 candidates under 9 general education boards, 2,42,314 under the Madrasa Education Board, and 1,26,373 participants in the SSC (Vocational) and Dakhil (Vocational) examinations under the Technical Education Board.
