Rajshahi, July 8 (V7N)- In a demand to abolish the quota system, students of Rajshahi University have disrupted railway operations by placing wooden logs on the tracks. Several trains have been halted as a result.
On Monday (July 8), protests are underway at various points, including the university flyover railway lines.
Students argue that they stand against only the reservations and not the backward communities. They have warned that they will not leave the streets until their demand is met.
Students further informed that they would have to reform the quota system to adhere to the constitution. In that case, only the debate of the uncensored public can be considered. Government job applicants will have multiple opportunities to enjoy the quota benefits, and qualified candidates will be hired according to merit for empty posts.
Thousands of students participated in the movement. Until now, due to student movement, train movement has been stopped throughout the country in Rajshahi
