New York, Dec 18, (V7N) - Chance the Rapper and his wife, Kirsten Corley Bennett, are getting a divorce. Corley Bennett filed for divorce in Cook County, Illinois, on Friday. This comes months after the couple publicly announced their split in April through a post on Chance’s Instagram Stories. In the post, they shared that after a period of separation, they had decided to part ways amicably and with gratitude for their time together. They also asked for privacy during this transition.

The couple, who married in March 2019, share two daughters—9-year-old Kensli and 5-year-old Marli Grace—and plan to raise them together. Chance and Kirsten exchanged vows in a ceremony at the Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, California, attended by notable figures like Kim Kardashian, Kanye "Ye" West, and Dave Chappelle.

According to a marriage certificate, they had a civil ceremony in Chicago in December 2018. Chance previously shared that he and Kirsten first met in 2003 when they were both 9 years old at his mother's office party, where they watched a performance by Destiny's Child.
