From university students to celebrities, people from all walks of life are voicing their anger over the growing incidents of rape, harassment, and gender-based violence.
On Saturday night, university students took to the streets, demanding immediate punishment for the rapist. Actress Golam Farida Chanda expressed her gratitude to the students, writing on social media:
"Thank you to the brothers and sisters of all universities, including DU, who have been protesting since last night for justice."
Martial artist and film actor Rubel emphasized the need for self-defense training for women, stating:
"Karate should be taught in schools and colleges. Women need this training even more than men."
Superstar Shakib Khan joined the protest by mentioning the victim’s name in a #WeWantJustice hashtag, demanding swift legal action.
Popular singer Tashrif Khan, known for his strong stance against social injustices, urged law enforcement to take immediate action, writing on Facebook:
"Request to the law enforcement agencies—please upload the real rapist’s picture from a verified page/website and announce a reward for his arrest."
