Dhaka, Mar 31, (V7N): Cinema remains the biggest source of entertainment for audiences during Eid. To enhance the festive spirit, several new films are released in theatres every Eid.
This year, six new films have been released for Eid: Borbad, Dagi, Jungli, Chokkor 302, Antoratma, and Jinn-3.
One of the most anticipated releases this Eid is Shakib Khan’s ‘Borbad’, directed by Mehedi Hasan Hridoy. The film also stars Idhika Pal, Jisshu Sengupta, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Misha Sawdagor, Intekhab Dinar, and Mamunur Rashid. Additionally, Kolkata’s Nusrat Jahan appears in a special item song. Borbad has been released across 120 theatres, including multiplexes and single-screen cinemas.
Another Shakib Khan starrer, ‘Antoratma’, has also hit the theatres this Eid. Directed by Wajed Ali Sumon, the film features Darshana Banik from Kolkata as the female lead. Other notable cast members include Shahed Sharif Khan, Jhuna Chowdhury, Aruna Biswas, Tarana Ria, S.M. Mohsin, and Maruf Khan. The film is being screened in 21 theatres nationwide
For the second time in his career, Afran Nisho has made his way to the big screen with Dagi, where he plays the lead role. Directed by Shihab Shaheen, the film stars Toma Mirza as Nisho’s co-star. Interestingly, Nisho has also lent his voice to the film’s title track. Other cast members include Sunerah Binte Kamal, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Gazi Rakayet, Mili Bashar, Rashed Mamun Apu, and A.K. Azad Setu. Dagi is screening in 16 theatres.
Actor Siam Ahmed is also making waves this Eid with his new film Jungli, directed by M Rahim. Alongside Siam, the film stars Bubly and Prarthana Fardin Dighi. Reports suggest that the film has finalized around 30 theatres for release, with 10 theatres already confirmed.
Adding to the excitement, Jaz Multimedia has released their much-anticipated horror film ‘Jinn-3’, directed by Kamruzzaman Roman. The film stars Nusraat Faria and Abdun Noor Sajal. Unlike other films, Jinn-3 is being exclusively screened in multiplex cinemas and is playing in 14 theatres across the country.
With a variety of genres ranging from action and thriller to horror, this Eid’s lineup promises a cinematic treat for moviegoers across Bangladesh.
