Tragedy struck in Baghdad as Iraqi TikTok sensation Umm Fahad was shot dead by assailants outside her home in the East Zain area of the capital. The British news outlet BBC reported the incident on Saturday, April 27.

Reports indicate that Fahad was targeted by a group of assailants riding motorcycles while she was traveling in a car. The attackers, disguised as food delivery personnel, opened fire on Fahad, resulting in her death. Another woman was also injured in the attack.

An investigation committee has been formed to probe the circumstances surrounding Fahad's killing. The Iraqi security source revealed that Fahad had gained popularity on TikTok by sharing dance videos featuring pop music, amassing thousands of followers. However, her online presence also courted controversy, leading to a court sentencing her to six months in jail last year for sharing videos deemed to violate decency and public morals.

The tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the Iraqi social media community, highlighting the dangers faced by influencers and individuals in the public eye. Authorities are working diligently to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice as Fahad's fans mourn the untimely loss of their beloved TikTok star.
