Dhaka, 20 June 2024 – As the nation celebrates Eid, theaters across the country are packed with audiences watching the blockbuster film "Toofan". Meanwhile, the highly anticipated teaser for superstar Shakib Khan's upcoming movie "Dorod" has been released on YouTube, generating significant excitement.

The teaser of "Dorod" showcases Shakib Khan and Bollywood actress Sonal Chauhan in the lead roles. It opens with Shakib's character, Dulu Mia, introducing himself. The scene quickly transitions from light-hearted moments to intense and violent sequences. Dulu Mia is seen with a packet of sweets in one hand and an axe in the other, suggesting a dual personality.

As the teaser progresses, Dulu Mia alternates between moments of rage and confusion. In one scene, he slaps two people and then drops the axe in fear. Sonal Chauhan's character appears briefly, adding a layer of mystery as she faints after eating sweets offered by Dulu Mia.

The teaser highlights Dulu Mia's complex nature, showing him stabbing a man repeatedly in a fit of rage, then reacting with panic and disbelief at the blood on his hands. The final scenes show Shakib dressed as a convict, laughing maniacally, and ending with a cryptic line, "I won then."

"Dorod" is an Indo-Bangladeshi joint production by SK Movies, Action Cut Entertainment, and Kibria Films. Alongside Shakib Khan and Sonal Chauhan, the film features performances by Payal Sarkar, Rajesh Sharma, Alok Jain, Rahul Dev, Safa Marua, Imtu Ratish, Elina Shammi, Tanveer Tarek, and Biswajit Chakraborty.

The teaser suggests that Shakib Khan's character, Dulu Mia, may suffer from a dual personality disorder, a theme rarely explored in Bangladeshi cinema. Shakib's portrayal, from his expressions to his transformation, is already being praised. Sonal Chauhan also impresses in her brief appearance.

Cinematographer Venkatesh Gandhari has created a visually compelling teaser, with scenes reminiscent of Tamil cinema. The night boat scene featuring Shakib and Sonal, with its excellent light setup, stands out. Costume design and overall direction by Ananya Mamun have also received positive feedback.

Despite the teaser's length of 1 minute and 24 seconds, which some feel reveals too much, it has successfully piqued the audience's interest. The full trailer is expected to provide more context and excitement without giving away key plot points.

With "Toofan" already making waves and "Dorod" generating buzz, Shakib Khan continues to dominate the Bangladeshi film industry. Fans eagerly await the release of "Dorod" to see how this intriguing story unfolds.
