After being shot during a gunfight between the military and the Arakan Army in Myanmar's Rakhine state, five individuals, including a Rohingya woman, fled into Bangladesh by boat.
The Rohingyas arrived at the Teknaf jetty on Shahpari island about 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 17.

Regarding this, Abdus Salam, a UP member representing Teknaf Shahpari Island Ward No. 9, said that five Rohingyas arrived at our jetty in the afternoon via boat from Myanmar.

BGB arrived at the location after obtaining the information. I've heard that they were shot during the Arakan Army and armed forces conflict in Rakhine State, Myanmar, and that's why they came here for treatment.
Teknaf Border Guard (BGB) did not, however, provide a statement in this respect.
