A member of Myanmar's border guard, BGP, has fled to the Rohingya camp in Moynarghona, Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar. Additionally, an injured Myanmar citizen has arrived. According to sources from the Armed Police Battalion, the injured Myanmar citizen is currently receiving treatment within the Rohingya camp.
The injured Myanmar citizen, Yusuf Nabi (20), son of Hossain Ahmed, is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital. Another individual, a member of Myanmar's BGP, P. Piyu Kyaw, has been taken into custody at the Moynarghona police camp in Ukhiya.
On Wednesday, May 22, at 11 AM, they were apprehended at the APBN police checkpoint in Moynarghona, Ukhiya.
The commander of the 8th Armed Police Battalion (DIG), Amir Zafar, confirmed the incident.
He further stated that the BGP member fled to save his life and was apprehended by the APBN police while seeking refuge in the Rohingya camp. Later in the afternoon, he was handed over to the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB). The injured Myanmar citizen remains under treatment in the hospital.
