Dhaka, Feb 22 (V7N) – AB Party Joint General Secretary Barrister Nasrin Sultana Mili has emphasized that women’s progress in politics is impossible without ensuring their safety.
Speaking at a press conference on the Reform Commission’s proposals for women’s participation, empowerment, and elimination of discrimination, Mili urged the government to take stronger measures to protect women’s rights.
She stressed that government initiatives must effectively combat discrimination against women.
Highlighted the importance of ensuring women’s basic health rights and ending domestic violence.
Called for the formation of a special tribunal to guarantee women’s social security benefits and property rights.
Mili’s remarks reflect growing concerns about gender equality and women’s political representation in Bangladesh. Her call for stronger legal and social protections aligns with ongoing efforts to promote women's empowerment nationwide.
