Barguna, Feb 27 (V7N) – Ghulam Parwar, Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, stated that the elections of 2014, 2018, and 2024 will not be allowed to take place again. He made these comments during a workers' conference organized by the Barguna district branch of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami on Wednesday (February 26) at the Town Hall ground.

During his speech, he emphasized the need for reforms in the judiciary, police, civil administration, and six other sectors for free, fair, and impartial elections. He also called for an interim government to oversee the upcoming elections. He further stated that if Jamaat-e-Islami comes to power through honest elections, the country would be governed according to the principles of the four Caliphs of Islam, which would lead to economic progress.

This was the first time Jamaat-e-Islami held a large workers' conference in Barguna. The event was attended by several key leaders of the party, and a sense of enthusiasm was seen among party workers who expressed satisfaction about freely holding the conference after a long time. The conference also witnessed the announcement of party candidates for two parliamentary seats in Barguna.
