Dhaka, Mar 08 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Democratic Student Union has taken a strong stance against extortion, tender rigging, corruption, lack of transparency, and unethical activities, warning that any member involved in such misconduct will face strict action.

In an urgent press release on Saturday, Convener Abu Baker Majumdar emphasized that the organization will not tolerate any unethical activities within its ranks.

The statement highlighted that post-July Bangladesh has seen a new political vision emerge—one that is free from corruption, extortion, and terrorism. However, it noted that despite the popular uprising, some misguided individuals continue engaging in old corrupt practices.

"We want to see a new political settlement where politics is dedicated to public service," the statement read.

The Bangladesh Democratic Student Union made it clear that any leader, organizer, or member involved in corruption or unethical activities will be permanently expelled from the organization. Additionally, they will fully support the state and government in ensuring legal action against such individuals.

Furthermore, the statement warned those seeking political or social affiliation with the group in the future, stating:

"We stand on the blood of July. Our commitment is to fulfill the people's dreams and establish a clean political culture. We will strongly resist any attempts to obstruct this goal."

The Bangladesh Democratic Student Union has urged other social and political organizations to adopt a zero-tolerance policy against corruption, extortion, and terrorism, ensuring that such activities have no place in the country’s future political landscape.
