Dhaka, June 19 (V7N) — BNP Standing Committee member Dr. Moin Khan has accused the Awami League government of deliberately destroying Bangladesh’s education system. He made these remarks during a seminar held at the Senate Hall of Dhaka University on Thursday morning (June 19) to commemorate the 44th death anniversary of late President Ziaur Rahman.
The seminar was organized by the ‘Sada Dal’ of Dhaka University teachers, where Dr. Moin Khan criticized the previous government, describing it as one that “was not a party of the people” and came to power without the trust of the populace.
Speakers at the event highlighted the educational philosophy and various initiatives championed by BNP founder Ziaur Rahman.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed also spoke at the seminar, accusing the Awami League of widespread corruption since taking power. He added that Bangladesh’s foreign policy from 1972 to 1975 was heavily dependent on India, whereas Ziaur Rahman pursued an independent foreign policy prioritizing national interests.
The seminar emphasized the legacy of Ziaur Rahman’s leadership in education and foreign affairs.
