Obaidul Quader, the General Secretary of Awami League and Minister of Road Transport and Bridges, asserted on Monday that nobody possesses the audacity to remove the name of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Quader emphasized Bangabandhu's enduring significance, stating that he serves as a guiding light for the nation, illuminating the path forward indefinitely. He expressed confidence that Bangladesh will realize the aspirations envisioned by Bangabandhu through Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's dynamic leadership.

Speaking at a discussion organized by Awami League to commemorate the 104th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu and National Children's Day, Quader reaffirmed Bangabandhu's family as the bastion of ideology. He underscored honesty and courage as fundamental qualities in politics, lamenting attempts by figures like Ziaur Rahman to tarnish the image of Bangabandhu's family.

Quader highlighted the resilience of Bangabandhu's legacy, noting the transformation of Tungipara into a pilgrimage site despite efforts to erase Bangabandhu from public memory. He also praised the revolutionary advancements in Bangladesh's ICT sector under the discreet leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's son, Sajeeb Wazed Joy.

Emphasizing the integrity of Bangabandhu's family, Quader commended their steadfastness in maintaining honesty and refraining from establishing alternative centers of power over the past 15 years.

The discussion was attended by various senior leaders of Awami League, including Presidium Members Begum Matia Chowdhury, Engineer Mosharraf Hossain, Advocate Quamrul Islam, and Dr. Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin, as well as Joint General Secretaries Dr. Hasan Mahmud and Dr. Dipu Moni, among others.
