BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been admitted to Evercare Hospital in Dhaka as her health condition worsened.

According to Shamsuddin Dider, an official from the BNP chairperson's media wing, Khaleda Zia was taken to the hospital around 3 am today based on the advice of the medical board.

This recent hospitalization comes after a slight deterioration in Khaleda Zia's health condition last Wednesday, March 27. At that time, medical board members had visited her residence in Gulshan and provided treatment at home.

Khaleda Zia had been in and out of the Critical Care Unit (CCU) several times last year. On August 9, she was admitted to Evercare Hospital. In October, three doctors from the United States' Johns Hopkins Hospital came to Dhaka for an emergency intervention to treat her.

After receiving treatment for over five months, the 78-year-old former prime minister returned to her home in Gulshan on January 11 this year. Khaleda Zia has been battling various health issues, including liver cirrhosis, arthritis, diabetes, kidney, lung, heart, and eye problems.
