Dhaka, Feb 13 (V7N) — Abul Fazal Md. Sanaullah, Election Commissioner of Bangladesh, said that the 13th National Parliament Election was completed peacefully and fairly, overcoming all fears and anxieties, and that Bangladesh emerged victorious as a nation. He noted that people participated in the election with enthusiasm and spontaneity, likening the day to an Eid festival.

He made the remarks during the official results announcement at the Election Commission building in Agargaon, Dhaka, on Friday morning (February 13).

EC Sanaullah said this election would serve as an important milestone in Bangladesh’s democratic journey. He emphasized that the Election Commission’s sole commitment was to conduct a transparent and fair election by implementing the law impartially, and that 100 percent effort was made toward that goal. Any errors or deviations, he said, were unintentional.

He added that the commission treated this election not merely as a constitutional responsibility but as a sacred trust, and expressed hope that Bangladesh’s democracy would continue on the right path, setting an example for better elections in the future.
