Dhaka, Feb 13 (V7N) — The Election Commission (EC) announced the final results of the referendum on the implementation of the July Charter alongside the 13th National Parliament election results on Friday (February 13) after 2:30 pm. EC Secretary Akhtar Ahmed revealed the figures privately at the Election Commission building in Agargaon.

Referendum Outcome:

  • Yes: 48,074,429 votes — declared the winner

  • No: 22,056,627 votes

  • Canceled votes: 7,402,285

Parliamentary Election Final Results (out of 299 seats):

  • BNP: 209 seats

  • BNP allies:

    • Gana Adhikar Parishad: 1 seat

    • Bangladesh Jatiya Party-BJP: 1 seat

    • Gana Sanghati Andolan: 1 seat

  • Jamaat-e-Islami: 68 seats

  • Jamaat alliance partners:

    • Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP): 6 seats

    • Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis: 2 seats

    • Khelafat Majlis: 1 seat

  • Islamic Movement: 1 seat

  • Independent candidates: 6 seats

The EC clarified that results for Chittagong-2, Chittagong-4, and Sherpur-3 constituencies remain postponed due to legal and candidate-related issues.
