Dhaka, Sept 04 (V7N): BNP Senior Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi emphasized today that forgiving those responsible for the recent killings during protests, allegedly ordered by Sheikh Hasina, would be an injustice to the victims. He stated that every murder and crime committed during the recent violence should be prosecuted through tribunals.

"Criminals, including Sheikh Hasina, must be tried. If this does not happen, Bangladesh will become a graveyard," Rizvi declared while handing over a donation to the father of Golam Rabbani, who was killed during the protests, on behalf of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman near PG Hospital in Shahbagh.

Rizvi also addressed the statement made by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, in which the party claimed to have forgiven those who politically persecuted them. He questioned, "What are they forgiving the genocidals for?" Rizvi urged BNP leaders and activists not to take the law into their own hands, stressing that law enforcement should handle these matters. He noted that the acting chairman of the BNP has already issued a strong directive regarding this.
