Dhaka, Oct 16 (V7N) – Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus visited the Dhaka University area on Wednesday to observe the graffiti created by young revolutionaries during the student-led popular uprising in July and August. The uprising, which played a significant role in ousting the previous Sheikh Hasina government, was vividly documented through these street art displays.

Accompanied by members of the advisory council, including legal advisor Professor Dr. Asif Nazrul, Information Adviser Nahid Islam, Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan, and Special Assistant Mahfuz Alam, the Chief Adviser walked through the streets surrounding Dhaka University, taking time to view the powerful graffiti on the walls.

The artwork, created by students, highlights the casualties and significant events of the revolution. It also portrays the grievances of the population and critiques of the ousted government. Many of the graffiti pieces serve as a visual reminder of the struggles faced by the youth during their quest for justice.

Some images from this visit were shared on social media through the official Facebook page of the Chief Adviser, sparking public interest.

Last month, during his trip to New York for the United Nations General Assembly, Dr. Yunus took with him a collection of photographs of these graffiti. These photos were gifted to several international dignitaries, including government leaders and heads of state, to highlight the spirit of the Bangladeshi student movement.

The Chief Adviser expressed his admiration for the creative expression of the students, emphasizing how these visual depictions reflect the resolve and passion of the younger generation.
