Dhaka, July 26 (V7N) – Milestone School and College in Diabari has announced a temporary closure for Sunday and Monday in the wake of a recent tragedy that has deeply affected the school community. The decision was confirmed by the institution’s principal, Mohammad Ziaul Alam, on Saturday.

"The students are still mentally disturbed," the principal stated. "We plan to bring them back to school as soon as possible for counseling and psychological support. Until then, we remain in close contact with their parents."

Addressing concerns and rumors, Principal Alam clarified that no students are currently missing. “The bodies of all five missing persons, including three students, have been recovered and handed over to their families,” he added.

Meanwhile, on Saturday morning, a large number of curious onlookers gathered in front of the school. Many were seen trying to peer inside through the open section of the gate. Access to the premises, however, remains restricted to authorized personnel, including teachers and staff.

The school will announce a reopening date in due course, once initial counseling and support measures are in place.
