Dhaka, Jun 05 (V7N) – The Cabinet of the Government of Bangladesh has congratulated Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman on his election as President of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
The congratulatory message was conveyed during a Cabinet meeting held at the Public Administration Meeting Room of the Cabinet Division at the Secretariat on Thursday (June 4).
The meeting began at 7:00 pm under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
During the meeting, Cabinet members highlighted Dr. Khalilur Rahman’s election as a significant diplomatic achievement for Bangladesh. They noted that the victory reflects the country's growing stature on the global stage, its diplomatic capabilities, and the confidence of the international community in Bangladesh's role in multilateral affairs.
The Cabinet observed that the election marks an important milestone in Bangladesh’s international engagement and demonstrates the country's increasing influence within the United Nations system.
Cabinet members and senior government secretaries attended the meeting.
