Dhaka, Jul 08 (V7N)- The Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment has urged job seekers to refrain from contacting any individual or organization or making any financial transactions related to employment in Malaysia until the government officially announces the reopening of worker recruitment.
The warning was issued in an urgent notice released by the ministry on Wednesday.
The ministry also advised prospective migrant workers not to undergo medical examinations or make any payments related to the recruitment process before the government formally launches the worker-sending programme.
Issuing strict instructions to recruiting agencies, the ministry said no agency is permitted to sign contracts with workers intending to go to Malaysia without prior government approval and an official public notification.
Recruiting agencies have also been instructed not to collect workers' passports, arrange medical examinations, or receive any fees or payments before the official recruitment process begins.
The ministry said that once a government decision is finalized regarding the resumption of worker recruitment to Malaysia, all relevant instructions will be announced through official government channels and the media.
Until then, the public has been urged not to engage in any recruitment process or financial transaction based on rumors, unofficial information, or promises made by unauthorized individuals or organizations.
The ministry also encouraged the public to report any information or complaints related to employment opportunities in Malaysia through the Expatriates' Welfare Call Center by calling 16135 from within Bangladesh or +8809610102030 from abroad.
For official information regarding Malaysia-bound recruitment, the ministry said prospective workers may also contact the designated focal point officer, Md. Hedayetul Islam Mandal, through the ministry's official communication channels.
