Dhaka, Oct 30 (V7N)- Gusty winds reaching speeds of 45 to 60 kilometres per hour may sweep across 14 districts of Bangladesh tonight, accompanied by rain or thundershowers, according to the Department of Meteorology.
The warning was issued on Friday (October 30) for the country's inland river ports and will remain effective until 1:00 am.
According to the meteorological bulletin, the affected districts are Rangpur, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogura, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Jashore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barishal and Patuakhali.
Rain or thundershowers may occur in these areas, accompanied by gusty winds blowing from the south or southeast at speeds of 45–60 km/h.
In view of the forecast, river ports in the affected districts have been advised to hoist warning signal number 1 from 2:00 pm on Friday until 1:00 am tonight.
